Passion 2019- Christine Cain

Updated: Feb 26, 2019

You know those sermons that have you sitting on the edge of your seat? This is one of those. It's one of those sermons that makes you walk away feeling full, feeling loved, feeling inspired. It's one of those sermons where you know the Holy Spirit was involved because it sets your soul on fire.

Isnt it crazy how other people's words can effect you? Words can either leave you feeling empty, and run down, or they can leave you feeling fueled, and powerful.

I had never heard of Christine Cain before Passion conference this year. Everyone else in the Christian world apparently had, because when I would mention she was going to be speaking everyone's eyes would light up.

After seeing her speak I can understand why their eyes were lighting up.

**Stop here if you want to go into this sermon with no background knowledge of it.

If you cant stop reading then you should know she talks about how God was only amazed TWICE in the bible. From belief and unbelief. She said the more we learn how much access we have to God the more familiar we become with him and we lose our sense of amazement and wonder. How sad is that? It's so true though.

There are so many times when I find myself calling out to God, and asking where he is. When the truth is he is showing me all the signs he has always shown me.

The truth of the matter is we cannot limit God. He can do ANYTHING.

WE NEED FAITH. We need to amaze God with out faith.

Christine says as Christians we believe in weird stuff, so we might as well believe in miracles. Let's be foolish enough to believe God can do ANYTHING. She says we cannot argue our way, but we can believe our way.

We are in a journey with God. It doesnt end. It lasts our entire life. He is here pursuing us, and we must pursue him back.

This sermon blew my mind. I was on fire after I heard it. I have pages and pages of notes, and I want to listen to it over and over again.

So.. my hope is that it will set your soul on fire much like it did with mine.
